It’s quite impossible for you to survive without Cinergy Health Plans. You won’t be able to get any good night’s sleep if you’re always worried about you and your family’s health and well being. The thing is, if you’re not armed with the right insurance plan, you’re practically digging your own grave.

Even if you and your loved ones are perfectly healthy right now, you can’t always be sure that you won’t suffer from illnesses or accidents in the future. Shopping for a health insurance, though, isn’t as easy as buying a pair of shoes. You need to think about these things before you purchase any health insurance plan.

Is your health plan appropriate for your needs?

Not all of us require frequent doctor’s visits and diagnostic tests. As a matter of fact, people around the age of 19 to 40 are least likely to maximize their major health plan benefits. This means about 15% or maybe more of wasted income on your part as an insured person. Cinergy offers two different types of health plans that are perfect for your needs.

You can choose between the Preferred Health Plans and the Critical Illness Health Plans. The Preferred Health Plans have more affordable monthly premiums although their coverages are quite limited. On the other hand, Critical Illness Health Plans have more benefits, although the monthly benefits may be a bit burdensome for someone who’s not working for a big corporation, for example.

Cinergy Preferred Health Plans are almost exclusively for emergencies of unexpected medical expenses. As a buffer for your health care needs, it shoulders all of your “first visits” fully, without any deductibles from your end of the table. The health services included in this plan are also diverse: from doctor’s visits to ICU stays. You can even use this health plan for your first child’s delivery. It’s practical, but as we’ve mentioned earlier, it’s reserved for first visits only. Once you use the benefit for one service, you’re going to have to shoulder the succeeding ones in the same category.

The Critical Illness Plans, however, don’t just cover doctor’s fees and prescription. It’s also the perfect insurance plan to have when you’re 65 and above because it covers personal home care. For younger individuals insured in this plan, the company also offers temporary unemployment benefits (because of accidents or injuries), and child care support when necessary.

Does it cover pre-existing conditions?

If you’re suffering from any medical condition, and you’re afraid that the company would discriminate you because of this condition, you can rest easy. Anyone who can meet the monthly obligations of the health plans can avail of it despite their pre-existing medical conditions. The insurance plan will still cover the health care costs even if the illness or disorder was already around before the plan was purchased.

Health Care Networks

You don’t have to worry about looking for physicians and hospitals that will honor Cinergy Health Plans. Almost all hospitals in the USA are covered by the insurance company’s broad network. It wouldn’t hurt to ask your physician, though, if you think that s/he is one of the very few exceptions.

Americans can vouch for Cinergy Insurance Plans, especially when it comes to health care because the company has a broad network for health care providers sprawled out across the country. However, as all insurance plans go, there’s no one generic health plan that can fit everyone’s needs. Before you applying for a health insurance plan with Cinergy, you need to make sure that you’ve got all of these areas cleared.

Medical attention needed

You wouldn’t insure your child for a health insurance that’s more suitable for older folks. There are two types of health insurance plans offered by Cinergy, and their premium difference is so significant, you must not overlook their coverages. Remember, when it comes to insurance, paying for the maximum benefits is never completely wrong unless you have to go hungry doing so.

Choose between the coverages of Cinergy Insurance Company’s Health Preferred and Critical Illness Plans. Health Preferred Plans are usually purchased by young professionals, employers, and housewives who cannot exactly afford the high premium of the Critical Illness Plans. As expected, the Critical Illness Plans are pricey for a reason: they offer more benefits than the limited Health Preferred Plans.

A Cinergy Health Preferred Plan only covers your “first visits”. In other words, it’s a health card that’s meant purely for emergencies, and they’re perfect for younger individuals in more or less perfect health. Critical Illness Plans are reserved for people who are over 65, or younger individuals with medical conditions. This health plan, on the other hand, covers frequent doctor’s visits, temporary unemployment needs, child care needs, home care needs, and more. Unless you’re seriously ill, you should need only the Health Preferred Plans. You can also add a $100 annual deductible for accident coverages for the limited Health Preferred Plans. Other “first visits” for this health plan doesn’t require deductibles.

Pre-existing medical conditions

Some health insurance plans only cover the health benefits of people who are practically perfectly healthy, anyway. This makes their health insurance plans function more like accident insurance plans to begin with. Cinergy Health Preferred Plans and Critical Illness Plans don’t work this way. As a matter of fact, Cinergy doesn’t require physical health examinations for its potential insurers. Every American citizen is eligible for Cinergy’s health plans, as long as they can meet the monthly premium obligations.

Choice of physician

If you don’t already have a physician, you should ask the hospital where s/he is based in about the health insurance plans that they offer. This shouldn’t be a problem because Cinergy has a broad network of health providers across the USA. If your physician isn’t part of this network, you’re sure to find someone just as competent from a Cinergy-supportive health institution within your own area without trouble.

Laboratory exams and diagnostic tests

Cinergy insurance plans for your health also include laboratory, x ray, and diagnostic testing. If you need one for work or travel purposes, these health plans should come in very handy. There may be some terms enclosed regarding the use of these health insurance plans, though. For example, the Preferred Plans would cover only first visits, while Critical Illness plans would have broader coverages.
