A Cinergy Health Insurance Plan is a good solution for you and your family if you’re worrying about unexpected expenses for your health needs. However, you need to make sure that you’re buying the right health plan before you sign with the company. Here are questions you should ask yourself first before even talking to an insurance agent.

What are your health insurance needs exactly?

You shouldn’t have to pay for very high premiums every month if you or your family members don’t need critical medical attention. In other words, to avoid spending 15% or more of your total income, you should only insure for your appropriate health needs. There are two completely different health plans offered by Cinergy. The limited but more affordable set of health plans is the Health Preferred ones, available in Plan500 and Plan1000.

These health plans are perfect for unexpected health expenses because they cover all of your doctor’s “first visits” no matter what treatment you may have. The coverage for this “first visit” term includes doctor’s consultation, pregnancy, ER visits, ICU, surgery, and many more. The Health Preferred Plans have significantly lower monthly premiums, and are designed especially for individuals who can’t afford major health insurance plans.

If you’re over 65, though, and you need more serious and more frequent medical attention, the Cinergy Health Insurance company also offers Critical Health Insurance. This plan also covers mortgage and bill payments, child care, temporary unemployment, child care, and medical home care needs. It offers a significantly broader insurance coverage compared to the Health Preferred Plans, but this plan is also pricier compared to the first one.

Can you own both health plans?

It’s possible, and actually ideal, to own both health plans from the insurance company. However, most people who manage to get a hold of the critical health insurance plan holds tenure in big corporations as well. New employees and self-employed individual usually own the Health Preferred Plans because it’s more affordable than the Critical Illness Plan. Anyway, the Critical Illness Plan acts as a supplementary to your pension. You won’t actually be able to use it unless you’re already retired, or if you’ve suffered from a serious injury or illness which forced you to stop working permanently at a young age.

Will both plans cover pre-existing illnesses?

Cinergy Health Plans are honest health plans that support not just perfectly healthy individuals, but ones with pre-existing medical conditions as well. As a matter of fact, this insurance company doesn’t even require a physical examination of any of its insurers, employees of firm holders included.
